Privacy policy for Maan AR

Maan AR is published by Khaled Alhasan. This policy explains how the native Maan AR app handles information. For privacy questions, contact support@masaredu.org.
Camera and augmented reality
The app uses your camera, motion information and ARKit’s understanding of surfaces to display a virtual exhibition in your surroundings. This processing takes place on your device. Maan AR does not record or upload camera images, videos, room maps or AR anchors to us. The app retains placement information during the experience so it can try to recover its position when you return from the browser.
You can withdraw camera permission in your device’s Settings. Without it, the augmented reality experience cannot operate.
Accounts, tracking and analytics
The native app does not require an account, display advertising, include our own analytics service or track you across apps and websites. We do not collect personal information through the native AR experience. Temporary app files and diagnostic information may be generated locally as part of normal operation.
Apple may process crash reports and app diagnostics under your device’s analytics and privacy settings and Apple’s privacy policy.
External experiences
When you tap a stand, the app opens the Maan LMS, its virtual avatar page or the virtual exhibition in your browser. It does not send your AR camera feed or room map to those websites. The websites and their service providers may collect information under their own privacy policies, including information you choose to enter there. Review their policies before signing in or sharing information.
Contacting support
If you email support@masaredu.org, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Please send only what is necessary. You may ask us to delete your support correspondence; we retain it only as needed to handle the request or meet applicable obligations.
This support website
This support page is hosted on the Maan LMS website. The website and its hosting provider may use cookies and process connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver, secure and measure use of their services. These website practices are separate from the native AR app. See the Maan LMS website privacy policy for details. Email links open your own email application.
Your choices
You can disable camera permission, stop using external links, close the app, or remove the app and its local data. To ask about or request deletion of information you sent to support, email support@masaredu.org.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the app’s information practices change and revise the effective date above.
