Maan, the Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme, was launched in Bahrain in 2011 in cooperation with the US organisation D.A.R.E. It helps young people develop life skills, make informed decisions and avoid violence and addiction. The programme builds partnerships between young people and law enforcement officers through modern educational methods. As the first programme of its kind in the Arab world, within a global network spanning more than 60 countries and nine languages, Maan promotes positive values and a safer community.
